A Happy New Year Starts With An Awesome Today

--> As we reach that time again where we reflect upon where we have been in the past year and contemplate where the next will take us, I think where we are right now is all that matters. I know how important it is to plan for the future. That setting forth on a plan and doing everything you have in your power will shape what the future will bring us. After all, we want nothing more than a bright future, prosperity and happiness as we look forward on a new journey that is so simply benchmarked by a single change of a new month in a new year. Maybe it’s planning for a new career change, a new home or car, or that long awaited special vacation that is long past due. It really all comes down to the inspiration of hope of the good things that awaits us in a future of which we have little control. There are many that see each passing year in a different light. For some it may be one more year off their mortgage or that huge car payment. It may mark the passing of anot...

The Fruit Doesn't Fall Far From the Tree...Or Does It?

Do you ever wonder what makes our views so different from others around us? I mean we seem to hold the same principles and core beliefs, but yet we differ in so many other ways. Is it the way we grew up or was it the environment we found ourselves surrounded by? There must be something that makes us take such polar opposite views on many things and yet unites us on others. Lets just take a moment and reflect upon our upbringing. Did the parenting skills and practices our parents had with us and how it molds our future? I don't think that one is more right than the other and most certainly, the environment we were raised in doesn't necessarily shape our future, I suppose, unless you let it. Let's examine this a little further... Parent A: Good hard working people with good moral beliefs. They have a love and respect for family and friends and teaches their children to have the same. They provide all the necessary tools for education and responsibility. They want nothing ...

The Twisted Tale of Two Articles

http://www.occupydemocrats.com/7-year-old-girl-shot-dead-at-soccer-practice-by-mentally-ill-man-with-legal-gun-2/ I first saw this article on Facebook this morning and based upon what I read, I posted the following commentary: "The fear or hatred of guns is what drives articles of tragedy to sway the focus from the mental issues surrounding the shooter to fulfill their obsessed anti-gun agendas. People who knew this man certainly knew of his issues. His doctor, his family, his friends. But in a politically correct charged society, those same people who hate guns, keep people silent about exposing the mental issues at hand because they fear offending or simply don't want to get involved. This man was mentally damaged and sought out harm. Because he used a gun, it's the gun's fault instead of those who may have been able to prevent his actions by first speaking to someone about it. Society is so driven by sensitivity that even the police have become...

Time for a New Perspective

As a new year quickly approaches and having had some time away from this blog, I realize that I must expand my perspective from the singular subject line of injustice, which is something still important to me, but to move into the issues hitting us daily and effecting our American way of life! Although I despise politics and have distrust for both parties, I admittedly stand in a more conservative position when talking about the issues at hand. But honestly, my concerns stand behind being an American, someone who believes in our Constitution and the freedoms it protects. I also tend to lean toward a less that politically correct perspective, but wholeheartedly respect the views and opinions of others...as long as they are respectful of mine! After all, it's my blog; my rules. Just saying! So the world is going crazy and the chaos is coming to America. Global warming or "climate change" is causing terrorism and tipping the axis on mass shootings. Guns are killing peopl...
