Time for a New Perspective
As a new year quickly approaches and having had some time away from this blog, I realize that I must expand my perspective from the singular subject line of injustice, which is something still important to me, but to move into the issues hitting us daily and effecting our American way of life!
Although I despise politics and have distrust for both parties, I admittedly stand in a more conservative position when talking about the issues at hand. But honestly, my concerns stand behind being an American, someone who believes in our Constitution and the freedoms it protects. I also tend to lean toward a less that politically correct perspective, but wholeheartedly respect the views and opinions of others...as long as they are respectful of mine! After all, it's my blog; my rules. Just saying!
So the world is going crazy and the chaos is coming to America. Global warming or "climate change" is causing terrorism and tipping the axis on mass shootings. Guns are killing people and the people pulling the triggers are victims of the gun's need to kill. The government has perfected the vetting system to insure all immigrants and refugees are "terror free" and eligible for food stamps, public housing and welfare. But, as we just seen in CA, a couple may just slip through the cracks and create havoc and carnage by only killing small numbers of people at a time unlike the attacks of 9/11. But as long as it doesn't happen "in my town" we feel safe and isolated from whatever target it is they are intending to attack.
Lets also not forget about our racial divide and the attacks upon the police. The assassination of cops is terrible. I blame the justice department for much of the hatred of cops. But on the other side of the issue is that there has been some pretty stupid moves by some cops that just puts the whole law enforcement institution in a bad light. But the truth is, a few bad apples can't be allowed to corrupt the whole entity. Without them, there would be a bigger mess than we could all handle on our own. And lets just get down to the criminal element. No matter what weapon these use, gun, knife, bat or fists; if they were not committing a crime, there wouldn't be any connection with the police. Committing a crime includes the implied liability and risk of getting caught. I guess its a "risk versus reward" sort of thing and if you get caught and fail to comply, well the odds are it's not going to end well. After all, you kick the door in at my house, armed or not, I'm shooting you dead. If you have a hard time with that, maybe they miss my house and come to yours and lets see how that works out for you!
So to sum things up, lets engage in some good dialog about what matters most in life. We can agree to disagree as long as at the end of it all there is some common middle ground that we each can agree is good for all. What I won't tolerate is outright personal attacks that are based solely in hatred and prejudice. We shall post with respect, based in factual information with room for constructive discussion!
