Here is the Veritas Initiative 2010 Report: Prosecutorial Misconduct Report

Which is Easier to Obtain? A College Degree or a Felony Record?

If parents don't start understand and teaching their teenage male children the realities of puberty, sexual curiosity and exploration and the growing legal consequences associated with what just appears to be the natural process of evolving from childhood to adulthood; new laws and the lowering of evidential standards could land your child in prison instead of the college or university of their choice. This article is a good read, as are many of the articles and stories from our friends at A Voice For Men: Warning about the Leahy Bill UPDATE 11/24/11: An interesting link that backs up my earlier comments! Cases of Persecuted Juvenile Sexual Activity

5 inmates convicted in beating death of man they thought was child molester

Contra Costa Times - Santa Ana, CA It is very likely that a guard or guards let it be known what this man's charges presumably were and it set him up for inmate retaliation. This is a very common occurrence in jails and prisons across this country. Obviously there had to be quite a commotion and some screaming based on the reported details of this assault and subsequent murder. It called turning a blind eye and jail house justice by those on both sides of this horrible act. Some of society accepts this as a form of justified justice for those accused of sexual crimes, especially involving children. Knowingly allowing this to occur makes those involved accessories to the crime; as guilty as those throwing the fatal blows. This man never touched a child and now he is dead. Whether in prison or on the registry, letting those who believe in this type of perverted justice know your every detail of where you work or live allows this type of behavior to continue. And if you...

What Are We Really Learning From the Success Stories of The Innocence Project?

It seems almost daily we hear about the work of the many Innocence Project groups across the US. Well, I say we hear, but is the general public really listening and understanding what is really happening here? I only ask this because it appears that power hungry prosecutors and courts don't seem to be getting the message, even today, that the presumption of innocence, strict rules of evidence and beyond a reasonable doubt are not options, but requirements, that protect innocent persons from being wrongfully convicted and continuing this vicious cycle. I can't help but think about how these wrongfully convicted were viewed and hated as investigators and prosecutors systematically stole the lives of these innocent people. I can't help but to think about their families, their children and of those that knew of their innocence while they stood and watched the authorities, step by step, destroy an innocent life with total disregard to their possible innocence, the lack of stro...

Barbara Sheehan Acquitted?

Okay, I understand the whole Battered Wife Syndrome issue and years of abuse at the hands of a violent husband; but where is the physical evidence of this claimed and relentless abuse? I mean in general, in most domestic violence cases, there are numerous complaints, questions of bruises or physical wounds related to abuse by co-workers or other outside the family sources. Did any of this evidence exist? And as far as her son's testimony, wrapped around an angry letter about his father's newly discovered girlfriend, written when he was in his teens, well it's an angry letter of betrayal, not a corroboration of physical abuse. And of course, dad is dead and mom is faced with prison for his murder; taking both parents out of his life; whom do you think he is going to corroborate with? Is "yep he abused my mom millions of times" just simply enough to corroborate her shooting her husband ELEVEN times with TWO different guns? I can maybe see a panic stricken self defen...
