A Happy New Year Starts With An Awesome Today
-->
As we reach that time again where we reflect upon where we
have been in the past year and contemplate where the next will take us, I think
where we are right now is all that matters.
I know how important it is to plan for the future. That
setting forth on a plan and doing everything you have in your power will shape
what the future will bring us. After all, we want nothing more than a bright
future, prosperity and happiness as we look forward on a new journey that is so
simply benchmarked by a single change of a new month in a new year.
Maybe it’s planning for a new career change, a new home or
car, or that long awaited special vacation that is long past due. It really all
comes down to the inspiration of hope of the good things that awaits us in a
future of which we have little control.
There are many that see each passing year in a different
light. For some it may be one more year off their mortgage or that huge car
payment. It may mark the passing of another year of being disease or dependency
free. For some it may mark another year behind them in a long hard battle they
face ahead with the hope that the one-day will come when things will become
somewhat normal again. It’s just a matter of perspective from where you are
today.
As we all wish one another a Happy and Prosperous New Year and
we make new promises or resolutions to ourselves to make the necessary or
hopeful changes in our lives to be healthier, happier and more financially
secure; it’s important to be sure that you make today count. Tomorrow is meaningless without today’s
good fortunes.
It doesn’t matter is you’re counting down or counting up,
our future is only as good as our best today. We survived our past from the
daily choices we made. Some brought us up and some brought us down. With luck,
we learned from both, and adjusted course toward a better tomorrow; which was
only possible by having a better today. No matter what that moment in time is, whether it’s giving
thanks to God, telling someone you love them, asking for forgiveness or just reaching
out to lift someone’s day up; it’s that moment in time that helps bench-mark
your future hours, days, months and years that you may become blessed to
receive.
So as we go about our day today wishing good tidings of a
Happy New Year, remember that the best thing you can give someone else is the
best you that you can give today because when tomorrow comes, this moment will
help shape the next, when we start each new day all over again.
Remember, “Life’s Short. Live It!” ® “Live Today. Tomorrow is not yours to
own.” If you can have the best today you can, you’ll have the best tomorrow
waiting ahead for the future you!
