5 inmates convicted in beating death of man they thought was child molester

It is very likely that a guard or guards let it be known what this man's charges presumably were and it set him up for inmate retaliation. This is a very common occurrence in jails and prisons across this country. Obviously there had to be quite a commotion and some screaming based on the reported details of this assault and subsequent murder. It called turning a blind eye and jail house justice by those on both sides of this horrible act. Some of society accepts this as a form of justified justice for those accused of sexual crimes, especially involving children. Knowingly allowing this to occur makes those involved accessories to the crime; as guilty as those throwing the fatal blows. This man never touched a child and now he is dead. Whether in prison or on the registry, letting those who believe in this type of perverted justice know your every detail of where you work or live allows this type of behavior to continue. And if you think that is okay, then you are are sick as those involved in this murder! The guards should be held accountable as well. And we call ourselves a civil society, yeah right!

As I suspected and from looking further into other related articles, those that are truly responsible for allowing the conditions to exist that put this man's life at risk and peril, were the guards themselves. After all, it is a prison and the guards control access and movement. The article below from October 2007 entailing the lawsuit filed in this case accurately describes what happens in prisons everywhere. These guards should be charged with murder or manslaughter because there actions contributed to this man's torture and death. But because they are also in control of the records and the cameras and clearly know where no cameras are present; I guess they are automatically above the law and immune from any accountability.
