Jail for woman who falsely cried 'rape'

Judge Reddihough said: “False allegations of rape have two particularly serious consequences: firstly the person falsely accused faces the nightmare of being arrested, kept in custody for many hours facing an allegation which he fears may not be successfully refuted and which could lead to him being wrongly convicted and sentenced to a long term of imprisonment; secondly, they have a serious effect on the administration of justice in cases of rape."
“Concern is often expressed over what is said to be the low conviction rate when the dreadful crime of rape is alleged. Juries have a difficult decision to make and publicity over cases such as this only serves to increase the plight of those woman who are genuine victims of rape and makes such an offence harder to prove.”

Intention false allegation reporting is too often never pursued  or is merely treated as filing a false incident or police report...a slap on the hand for the most part. Yet those on the receiving end of these false allegations are often faced with the legal battles of their lives trying to uphold their innocence against evidence that doesn't exist and against the words of a very convincing alleged victim. The Fruit Doesn't Fall Far From the Tree...Or Does It?

Do you ever wonder what makes our views so different from others around us? I mean we seem to hold the same principles and core beliefs, but yet we differ in so many other ways. Is it the way we grew up or was it the environment we found ourselves surrounded by? There must be something that makes us take such polar opposite views on many things and yet unites us on others. Lets just take a moment and reflect upon our upbringing. Did the parenting skills and practices our parents had with us and how it molds our future? I don't think that one is more right than the other and most certainly, the environment we were raised in doesn't necessarily shape our future, I suppose, unless you let it.
