Crystal Gail Mangum, stripper in Duke lacrosse rape case, charged with arson and attempted murder

So here is the deal. This person FALSELY ACCUSES these 3 Duke lacrosse players; they spend a million dollars a piece on attorneys to PROVE their innocence and all she can get charged for is a misdemeanor charge of falsely reporting a crime! Why must someone spend that kind of money to fight something that wasn't even real in the first place? What would someone faced with in this situation do if they couldn't afford million dollar attorneys...like you and me? We'd be sitting in prison for a crime that never existed! And what about evidence and the statements given in this case? No evidence and all lies. But the public was ready to hang these boys on the allegations alone! Do you see the problem here? People are too quick to assume that prosecutors have a real factual case to move forward on, when in fact they really don't know anything other than the "word" of the supposed victim. How could they have VERIFIABLE PROOF if none exists? And we should continue to trust that the system and those in power are doing everything to protect our rights and liberties? What do you think?

The Fruit Doesn't Fall Far From the Tree...Or Does It?

Do you ever wonder what makes our views so different from others around us? I mean we seem to hold the same principles and core beliefs, but yet we differ in so many other ways. Is it the way we grew up or was it the environment we found ourselves surrounded by? There must be something that makes us take such polar opposite views on many things and yet unites us on others.
